17 weeks / 4 months since we've seen Julian's beautiful face.
I wonder:
Would he have passed Noy in height? He was so close.
Would he still have those stubborn zits on his chin?
Would he have a girlfriend?
Would he have passed his driver's ed on his first try?
Would he have pulled his grades up to finish 9th grade?
Would he have his first summer job?
Would he be going to football camp again?
What we wouldn't give:
to be his taxi again,
to have to remind him to take the trash out before it comes,
to kiss his face,
to hear his laugh,
to tell him to stop pestering Wesley,
to order him Stumpy's pizza every Friday night,
to make him pasta ala vodka or cedar planked salmon.
to listen to his girl problems,
to look at his latest drawings or designs,
to be late everywhere because of him,
to buy him a new pair of Nike's.
We know God's ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts and we are so thankful that we can trust that He is good even when we can't see it. But we sure do miss our sweet Julian!
This shot was taken last year on a morning senior shoot. He was helping me get my light while we were waiting on my client. This is such a genuine, Julian smile. I know I'm biased, but what a handsome face.
